When I first arrived over two years ago for the Physio Dynamics program I could barely move due to my painful suffering of nerve impingement. I had tried everything ranging from chiropractic services, physical therapy, and acupuncture and none of it seemed to work. As a result of the Physio Dynamics program, I am virtually pain free and my posture is in alignment. Actually, people have noticed that I’ve become a half inch taller!

Lika’s Letter

My name is Lika M. Yandall, and for 46 years I have been an instructor for Bernice Danylchuk’s Physio-Dynamics. Bernice passed away on April 15, 2007 in La Jolla, CA. She had been a great asset to San Diego for 52 years and Los Angeles for 37 years.

We met through Mrs. Raghwarld, Director of the School of Nursing, when Bernice inquired for an assistant in Posture Therapy. Mrs. Raghwald informed Bernice that she had the perfect girl for the position. And that good candidate was me!

From birth, the joints throughout my whole body were disfigured. I suffered from malnutrition for many years. My Mom later explained to Bernice that she was constantly vomiting and deathly sick for 8 out of the 9 months of her pregnancy. As a child, my head and body were filled with boils and sores. The shortcomings of my disfigurements were flat feet, bowlegs, wide hips, and a slight curvature of the lumbar area. Bernice successfully inspired, guided, and corrected all of these physical issues that were negative forces within me.

I am so grateful to her. I have dedicated myself to share with the world, Bernice’s wonderful knowledge and understanding of the body. I hurt my back

To describe my experience with Physio Dynamics, I must start at the beginning.

I hurt my back. For over two and half years I couldn’t move. I would lay in my bed in a cold sweat for half an hour most every morning hoping I could get out of bed without crying out in pain. I went to a physical therapist for several months. I went to a chiropractor and an acupuncturist for two years. I wasn’t getting any better. I even had an epidural. I felt temporary relief but nothing permanent. I even bought a very expensive bed because I thought it would help.

I could only sit on my couch and cry. I was so depressed and frustrated. I was out of shape and gaining weight. I was afraid of climbing stairs because the pain was so bad. Every movement caused me pain and I couldn’t do the things I loved to do.

Eventually I accepted the pain but I walked by dragging my left leg behind me and tottered around like an old woman. I wrecked all my shoes because I would fall or stumble and I always seemed to drag my toes on my right foot when I walked.

I went to see Lika and Malika at Physio Dynamics. I was in so much pain that first day. Their techniques saved my life. I needed their help to just get onto the table and to do the exercises they teach that enforce a proper relationship to my mind body and muscles. I started to improve right away. The pain started to diminish from my first treatment.
I started Physio Dynamics in October of 2012. It is now the very beginning of June 2013. I lost 12 pounds right away because they first strengthened my core by teaching it proper alignment. Although I’m not 100%, I can now move and dance. I played beach volleyball 3 weeks ago and went zip lining this weekend. The zip lining trip included repelling out of trees and hiking rough terrain. I could never have done that last year.

I’m on track back to my life and I’m so happy. Thank you Physio Dynamics!

Lika is the Best!

15 years and counting….

I have been working with Lika and doing this program on average every three weeks for the past 15 years. There is no question in my mind that this program is the reason I am in good health today. At almost 67, even with a lot of arthritis in my knee and back, I can still swim 3 miles a week, walk a mile easily on the elliptical and trim sails on a 30′ boat.

I suffer from nerve impingement and was in debilitating pain and limited in movement. I had immediate relief and improvement once I began my physio-dynamic sessions. Of course when it comes to physical rehabilitation there is no quick fix and I have still some work to do. But without the aid of these invaluable sessions I’d probably would of been on pain killers for the rest of my life. Lika is truly a living miracle in my life.

Posture maintenance

I’ve known Bernice and Lika since 1989 and haven’t stopped the work, now with Lika. For me the issue has always been the effects of a stressful job. The Physiodynamic approach has been a God-send. I always walk away feeling renewed. — Bob in LA

From Bernice through Lika – continuity

I first found Physiodynamics in 1975 where Bernice and Lika were there to help me to become more perfectly aligned. After a back injury while singing on stage overseas, they helped me to return me to a point like nothing had ever happened. I continue the work with Lika and it helps me to maintain better general stamina and since my ribcage is more flexible from the work, my singing is easier. Did I mention that my posture is great? Life Changing!

When I came to Physio Dynamics I could no longer take the long walks I loved without my ankle giving out on me due to old injuries. My ankle was very sore the first day I showed up and when I left it was already feeling good! They not only worked their magic on my whole body but gave me exercises I could do myself that not only strengthen my ankle and vastly improve my posture. I get to enjoy my long walks and with the help of Physio Dynamics I have no plans to slow down!

Happy Camper

Our son suffers from a genetic disorder that negatively effects his posture, muscles tone and balance. After working with Lika and her staff at Physiodynamics, Garrett has good body alignment, better posture and stronger muscles. Overall, this therapy has greatly improved his health and balance. Physiodynamics really knows bodies.

Physio-Dynamics is a science process of mind and body correctly. Training the mind to desire alignment by strengthening muscles and thinking correct posture at all times is the goal. The human body by itself does not achieve alignment and good posture naturally. It must be informed by the mind. Properly trained, the mind directs the nerves and the nerves transmit the message to muscles and ligaments. Powerful muscles and ligament then align the bond structure for healthful posture – not just in standing but in walking, sitting, squatting, lifting, bending, turning, running sleeping and other movements and positions. Correctly programmed, these basics can be extended to automobile driving, bicycle riding, dancing, and sports: tennis, golf, handball, football, baseball, track, swimming and jogging. Properly directed by the mind, the body maintains health and a steady flow of oxygen. Special exercises are unnecessary because the body exercises itself continuously.
